"A detail from the mural at McDonough..." (JC 1971).
During the early 1940s, Charlot was invited by Lamar Dodd to be the artist-in-residence at UGA, where he instructed art students while working on murals in the area; one for the Post Office in McDonough, one for the Fine Arts and the Journalism buildings on the campus of the University of Georgia in Athens. The murals painted by Charlot on campus can be seen beneath the entrance on the front of the Fine Arts Building and in Brooks Hall.
