Winnifred Hudson

Winnifred Hudson was born in Sunderland, England May 21, 1905. She studied at the Honolulu Academy of Arts: University of Hawaii with Joseph Feher, Wilson Stamper, John Hultberg and Norman Ives. Also with James Pinto in Mexico. She lived in Honolulu where she painted in the company of Ben Norris, Juliette May Fraser, Isami Doi, and others. Her works were shown regularly at the Honolulu Academy of Arts exhibits of the leading painters of Hawaii. Her paintings hang in many private Hawaiian collections as well as in the permanent collection of the Honolulu Museum of Art (HMA) and the State Foundation on Culture and the Arts.
