Sue Swerdlow

A consummate artist working with paintings, jewelry and home interiors, Sue Swerdlow has been a resident of Hawaiʻi Island for 48 years. The culture and natural beauty of Polynesia has influenced much of her work. Loving form, nature and colors, she has depicted Hawaiʻi and other subjects through acrylics, watercolors, inks, pastels, and clay. Diversity in themes and media makes her Gallerie Luna a more than interesting one-woman show. Sue began her professional career as an artist in residence at Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, Hawaiʻi Island and continued doing shows at resort venues for 15 years in Hawaiʻi and Palm Springs, California. Her Gallerie Luna first opened in North Kohala in 1994 and then in 2011 at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel. Sue's graphic designs and paintings have been used commercially for etched art glass, hotel murals, menu covers, gift packaging, cassette covers, coffee mugs, t-shirts, and greeting and business cards.
