Deborah Thompson

Deborah Thompson's island artwork has been seen for a number of years. Her paintings show a timeless Hawaiʻi with a vintage flair. She works primarily in oils and acrylics but also creates three dimensional, sculptural plaster murals. She and her husband Stephen also specialize in faux finishes and decorative painting projects for interior designers and clients for the past 25 years. Thompson earned a BFA in fine arts at the Parsons School of Design and trained classically in Paris, France.

Thompson captures the beauty of the islands with a focus on detailed tropical botanical imagery. Numerous private and public collectors throughout the United States, Asia and Europe have acquired her work. Thompson's art can be found at Genesis Galleries at the Queens Marketplace at Waikoloa. Notable collectors include Neil Young, Lisa Marie Presley, and Kenny Loggins. Corporate commissions include work for Tommy Bahama, Dr. Monica Scheel, Kona Hospital, Parker School, and the Waikoloa Kings Course pro shop. She has donated artwork for shows and auctions.
