A Major Retrospective of Hawaii's Pioneering Modernist 

On Friday, September 9, Rhythm in the Round: The Modernism of Madge Tennent will open at the Isaacs Art Center, with a reception from 5 - 7 pm. The exhibition will showcase the evolution of Madge Tennent's distinctive style from her early academic paintings in Paris to the grandeur of her dynamic Hawaiian women in large-scale oil paintings and works on paper. Continuing through November 12, the show will include quintessential art of Madge Tennent in our permanent collection as well as selected works on loan and for sale.
