Isaacs Art Center

The Mouse House returns to kick off the holiday season!

This miniature Christmas village created by beloved island painter Martha Greenwell (1920-2014) will be on display at Isaacs from November 6, 2018, through January 5, 2019. All of the artifacts featured in the exhibit are from the attic and tool shed of Greenwell's Palani Ranch. It took Martha eight years to assemble the village.

The creative details of Martha's tiny village inspire artists and Keiki of all ages and remind us continually of the warmth and wit Martha shared with everyone. "Our island communities are better for her generosity of spirit and artistic legacy," said Mollie Hustace, director of the Isaacs Art Center.

Isaacs Art Center at Hawai‘i Preparatory Academy, located adjacent to school's Village Campus at 65-1268 Kawaihae Road, is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday. Admission is free. The Center will be closed between Christmas and New Year’s Eve. For information, or to arrange group visits, please call 808-885-5884.
