"Lei Makers" is a drypoint etching, signed on the plate and dated 1938, signed again in pencil, lower right, and numbered 21/100, lower left. The composition includes three women in varying poses and dispositions. Their heads create a diagonal among feet and hands. Norris surrounds his figures with lively lines that underline the constant activity of their vocation. It is a charming work, an excellent impression, and in excellent condition. Early drypoints by Ben Norris are rare.
