Paintings

The paintings available at Isaacs Art Center, in their vast majority, are works created in the 20th century, and in some cases 19th century, by the leading artists of the islands of Hawai'i, many of whom were born and raised in the islands, while others were here for a few years.  The accepted reference for these artists is the book Encounters with Paradise, written by David Forbes (a 1959 graduate of our school) and published by the Honolulu Academy of Arts.

Almost all the works offered are original and are selected for the quality and beauty of their composition, and their mastery of colors and forms.  The prices set are fair and reasonable and reflect excellent market values for the knowledgeable collector or investor.  Unless otherwise indicated, all paintings come beautifully framed.
