“KAWENA’S `ILI`ILI”
Kawena’s maturity in dancing hula … specific movements, facial expressions, etc. … are surprising for her age (6). She obviously loves every aspect of dance and all the studying and lessons which are required of serious hula students. Her chanting is equally impressive. She changed outfits, her hair style, lei, and implements during Ed’s photo shoot in Waimea … all the midst of a light misty rain, which didn’t bother her in the least.
