Hoʻomau ~
Perpetuating Hawaiian Culture

The Art of Kathy Long and Edwin Kayton

Isaacs Art Center is honored to host an exhibition of the renowned artists Kathy Long and Edwin Kayton, whose extraordinary work captures the profound culture and deeply spiritual people of Hawai‘i. With long award-winning careers, both Kathy and Edwin continue to create new images of our island life. Their mastery of figurative and landscape subjects as kahunapaniolo, hula dancers, and voyagers is shown in richly colored oils and pastels. Kathy and Edwin exhibited together in the 1980s and 1990s and are pleased to again showcase their complementary art.  They are among the great artists devoted to ho‘omau, perpetuating the culture of Hawai‘i, and they do so with visual and historic accuracy.

The show opens on Tuesday, March 17 and continues through Friday, July 31, 2020.
