Web description (withdrawn March 2021):
“... upon the local colour of Hawaiian flesh, in my own version, a mixture of light ochres, warm cadmiums, and complex yellows, light and dark, hung the whole harmony of the colour organization.”
Three musicians perform, wearing contrasting holoku of red and green. Their strength and grace is carried through a rhythmic color palette of deep hues. Lines that form the background move in step, adding to the musicality and harmony within this piece.
